The Story Behind Bokeh Labs

A camera changed my life. And I can prove it.
I was a stay-at-home dad. While my kid slept, I’d head out at 2am and shoot the city. Empty streets, skylines, neon, the quiet hours nobody else was up for. I posted it under @bokeh_city because I loved it, and it grew to over 200,000 followers.
Those late nights opened doors I never saw coming. I ended up shooting content with the Bengals. I edited YouTube clips for Tee Higgins. The camera stopped being a hobby and became proof I could actually do this.
For two years I did what everyone tells you to do. Post more. Be consistent. I did, and I was still shooting for exposure, still broke. Then it clicked: the camera was never the problem. I stopped selling photos and started selling outcomes.
My first client was a jeweler. I told him $500 a month, because that was a number I could ask for without flinching. He said yes. That one yes taught me everything that came after: this is about trust, not gear. Do great work, treat the relationship like it matters, and people tell people.
One client became a referral. A referral became ten. That $500 jeweler turned into a full roster of local businesses who count on me to make them the name everyone in their market knows.
Today Bokeh Labs is a team. Cinematic content, paid ads, and the systems that turn attention into booked customers. We take one business per industry, per market, and we make them impossible to ignore.
It still started at 2am with a camera and a sleeping kid at home. I’ve never forgotten that. I never will.
